Our vision is to consolidate the prehabilitation literature currently found in multiple specialty journals into a single location.
Message from the Founder
As the medical advisor leading content creation for PrehabMD, I needed to establish myself as a knowledge expert in the field and stay updated on the latest prehabilitation research.
With our team, I started accumulating a database of studies, which served as the foundation of our evidence-based program. This database provided the framework for ongoing program improvements as we integrated new research findings.
Over time, it struck me how challenging it is to keep up - the prehabilitation literature is scattered across so many disciplines. Articles spanned specialty journals covering surgery, anesthesia, nutrition, psychology, cognition, exercise physiology, and more. I couldn't shake the idea that having them all together would make this so much simpler.
And so, the journey of this project began, evolving over time into what you see today. To my fellow night owls mining PubMed's depths in search of prehabilitation articles, may this grant you an earlier night's rest. Or perhaps, I'm a solitary wanderer in this pursuit.
